Did this same thread in the 740 section...but i had the wrong model....okay..i need help, this is what i got, a 1989 760 turbo(doner car), and a 1987 760 turbo(shell). so i took the powertrain out of the 89 and put into the 87. now i have no spark out the coil, and the fuel pump doesnt turn on, unless i jump it at the fuse box.now im pretty sure i have power at the coil, but just tell me what im doing wrong or is there a write up on this...as i said im new so plz just help me no need for rude comments or bashing. thanks

Volvo Dude, in general I have not seen any rude or bashing comments on this forum. Most people are pretty helpful. Also, it sounds like you just took your engine & transmission out of one car and into another which means you could have one of 30 problems or 5 of 10 problems.

You will have to give a lot more details of what is going on. Is the car turning over? Did you make sure all of the wiring harness are good? What else works? what else does not work?

To be honest with you, I'm not the guy with the answers. Not that big of a machanic to try an engine swap. But after you post, you will have to be patient for someone with that knowledge to find your post and try to help you out.
