i didnt have mine long enough to find out,, mine was doing the same thing.. but in my logic i assumed that since i'm a smoker i'd just bumped the w switch with the ashtray because when it happened all i had to do was shut the car of and restart it to make the "disco fever" lights shut off. i hope it all turns out ok for ya, so far in my life , as much as i am in puppy love with my new 240 the 960 is probabally , model wise, the nicest car i've ever owned. lots of power and great handling and ride.. good luck .

Hi Mikka and welcome to the forum.

That usually indicates a problem with the PNP switch. Some people turn the car on, roll the shifter about 20 times through all of the gears and it clears it up for a few days. Give that a try, if that works you will likely need to replace the PNP switch. Search that in the S90/960 sections and maybe google it.

you can pull the PNP switch, take it apart and clean it. i did that on my 95. it was kind of a pain to get it off from what i remember.

if you do need a tranny, i have 2, one from my moms 93 that had around 120k on it and the one from my 95, around 160k, both are in excelent condition.

(i broke a head bolt on my 95 and i am done with it.) i am part the 95 and i have some 93 stuff left to

pull out the appropriate fuse from the fuse box and then put it back in.
