Okay. So good news and bad ganews. Let’s start with the good….SHE DOES THE HOLY TRINITY!!!! The car will now start run and drive….only thing is not reliably
the bad is well old car stuff mostly it seems. Leaky radiator, fuel lines are rusted and leaking, power steering is just gone and lastly while I had her running she got just shy of operating temp and her lifter tick got better but I pulled the oil cap and saw a little bit of white….well cream so I pulled the dip stick and sure enough there’s some there to but the oil is still relatively black/brown not at all milky so now I did put a can of deadpan in her and have been cranking the **** out of it. Am I looking at a head gasket replacement or am I lucky and just need to let it run more.
for what it’s worth there doesn’t seem to be a lot of coolant in the car and I can see a small leak in the driver side bottom corner of the radiator.

The ticking will go away once the engine runs enough - after the lifters pump back up.
The white stuff on the cap and the dipstick is caused by condensation - usually seen in a car that only takes short trips to where the engine does not heat up enough to boil the condensation out of the crankcase - and it causes that goo to form on the cap and dipstick.

Please don't add snake oil or solvent to your oil - it's never a good idea to thin oil out and make it less slippery. Just change the oil and drive the car at 4000 rpms for a minute or so - cleaning additives in the oil will help the hydraulic lifters will free up and become quiet.
