Default New to 760s

Hi, I have a 88 245, but am looking at a 86 760 turbo.

Has 150000 miles and the seller claims it is running good and has passed PA inspection. Is there anything I should look for when I check this car out? Are the turbos more prone to repairs or are more reliable, or just the same as a NA 760.

Thanks for any advice or help.

82-86 were the horror years for defective insulation on underhood wiring for Volvo. Turbos generate more heat so the passenger side wiring takes a hard hit. Turbo cars are equally reliable in theory. In reality, very few Americans maintain their cars properly. With turbos, it is critical to change oil every 3 months or 3k, WHICHEVER comes first.
I just recently sold my 84 760T. It was a blast! I repaired my share of wiring, rebuilt the turbo, did a lot of mods, repainted it. They are great cars, but like beautiful women, they need a fair bit of attention.
