Hi-
Just wondering if anyone has tried to install a newer factory stereo in a 960. It looks to me like the HU-613 might physically fit in the opening, but not sure if the connectors are the same or if the newer ones have external amps, etc. Just curious since I can't seem to get a good fit with my aftermarket unit.
Thanks-
Brady

Hi-
I have like 3 or 4 of the stock units sitting in my garage in various stages of operation- all of which were purchased off of ebay....they all seem to work for a while and then die-(usually the CD player). I noticed that there are some newer versions of the stock units also on ebay, so I figured maybe a few years newer might help them last longer.
The stock units used to be built by Alpine, so they should (and do) sound pretty good.
