Oil leak from under top cover of motor
Hello, all.
I'm new here, having just bough a 1995 960 with 131K miles. Runs great. But, there is oil dripping out from under the plastic "24 Valve" plastic cover. I removed the cover, cleaned up the oil, replaced the rubber O-ring at the oil filler cap and the leak is still there. See picture I lifted from a previous thread that might have been the same problem.
Any ideas where the oil is coming from?
Cheers,
Dave

Hello, all.
The source of the oil leak I wrote about above turned out to be a stripped cam cover bolt. The fix was to install a new bolt with Locktite on it. Fortunately, there were enough threads left in the head to hold it.
Cheers,
Dave
