HI I bought the 1998 v90 and I love it the pep ,the gas mileage , the handleing , I was ready to change the springs ,sway bars ,brakes BUT after useing the car I am sastifed and I do not have to do any of this to the car.My problem now is I went to change the oil and I think that the Jolly green gaint at the quick change oil station thigthen the drain plug !!!!Needless to say the corners are rounding off, even after using a 6 pointbox wrench.so I stop ped because if I did get it out I would not bend able to reuse it . I will pick up a new one and try again .I have a wrench that thighens the more pressure you put on it. My last resort is to drill it and use a easy out . My question is are there any other tricks that I could use ? and or should I have this done at a gargage. Thanks for any input.

 

To save you alot or trouble and cursing take it to the dealer and let them do their oil change special for like $20.00 and they will ask you to replace the drain plug as well.Some people never install the aluminum crush washer and just tighten it down and then it is a bear to get off.

 

Thank you for the input for the oil plug problem . I will take the car to volvo . I would be working on her roughly 30 miles from the closest dealer, so if I did run into trouble it would just add to it. Just a quick question how do you get a picture on this site?? Or maybe I should ask seeing how you like 5.0 mustangs would you be interted in seeing my toy which uses the 5.0 drie train. John
