Rallying a 85 turbo 760 need help

Default Rallying a 85 turbo 760 need help

ok two questions... how could I raise the suspension up w/o spending alot of money and also...

could I ghetto rig the turbo system to up the boost a couple of psi with the engine handling it???

I have no clue what the engines bottom end can handle.

Open the waste gate more to get a little more boost. If you go to far you will know you will loose power in boost if you go to far.

Try getting coil spring expanders and see how much higher it will be.

thanks for the reply.. also how much boost can the stock engine handle?? I also took the air filter box out and ran straight air and Im getting turbo surge... would this be fixed with a aftermarket air filter.. or should I leave the stock box???

This engine has 250,000 miles on it so I doubt the compression is good but I have yet to check it.

Put a K&N filter or similiar on it.

I think it is around 12Psi is max.

10 will be fine.

A buddy of mine was running 10 with Nos and it was fine.
