Where is the stock stereo amp located in a '95 960 wagon?

 

The manual might tell you for sure but I think it's under one of the front seats.

 

There are no electronics under any of the seats.

 

It may be up under the dash. On my RHD 740, it was up next to the steering column, so have a look near teh glovebox on a LHD car?

Are you sure you have an AMP? You can pull the radio out of the dash and look at the connections on the back. If you have an amp, it should be plugged into the amp port.

 

I guess not. No, no amp cable, I was under the assumption all of these cars were amplified. Certainly makes my life easier, it was all going to get replaced in time anyways

Now just searching like hell for info on installing a doubledin head unit into one of these dashes......ugh.
