Default Weird electrical problem

Hi-

So I have this weird electrical issue. Sometimes, I get in the car, start it up, and drive off- then as I get down the road I realize that my power windows don't work, nor do my turn signals. If I smack the top of the steering column, everything starts working again.

OK, so maybe I can understand some sort of wiring glitch in the column that would affect the turn signals, but what about the windows? Makes no sense that the window wiring would go through there.

Any thoughts? Similar problems?

Thanks-
Brady

It does make perfect sense that the wiring passes through the ignition switch. You can't use your power window without the ignition being on, so what is happening is there are various relays that get powered through the ignition switch.
