"How much are 850R's really worth"?
I mean i know kbb's numbers... But really, are R's really rare enough to have a diffrent price? obviously a car is worth what someone else will pay, but assuming you found a car with little to no known problems, with matching miles to year, and clean title. how do you figure price? It took me almost four months to track down a good R.
What do you guys think?

Now granted I cant get my money back, im trying to assure myself i made a good deal. I guess im going through my typical "buyers remorse" I replaced the fuel pump and fuel filter....now it runs like a dream. Just wondering...
My car:
1996 850R
Red/black interior
17" pegs/ new tires
Ipd R grill
Paint =fewblemishes, dings and dents. not showroom, but not poor.
All power options work
105k on the clock.
Nomajorproblems or fualts
how much would you guys say its worth?

With the pegs and new tires I would say in the ballpark of $7500 +/- $500. That's just off the top of my head without even looking at KBB. I just paid around $5500 for my yellow T5R with 137K on it. It's in real good condition, but had crappy wheels with snow tires on them when I bought it. Now has nice tires and 17" Volans off my 97 850 R. I think I got a great deal and would expect about $8,000 for it if I was willing to sell with the Volans and tires. The yellow ones are very rare. You should have started a new thread for this.
After checking the KBB price I will stick with what I said above. The 17" pegs with new tires adds about $1,000 in my book.

^Hm.....Seems to me that if you listed this though, 7.5-8k would be pretty steep.
There is a thing about these cars that I've noticed. They seem to not hold value very well, but they run forever.

^Why? Simply because your pump failed?
The fuel filter is standard maintenance, and it's a good thing you got it changed because it probably was pretty dirty.
Plus you're only at 100k miles. Have you heard my Volvo story? When I was getting my tires mounted, I was in conversation w/ this guy who had an N/A 850. He was telling me about how he recently went to the dealer and the dealer was telling him about an 850 with 375k miles with original water pump/fuel pump and a lot of other parts. These cars run forever if you treat them right.
Honestly, there's only one more thing that your car is guarunteed to need which is to repair the ABS module (100-200 bucks). Otherwise, it's just standard maintenance.
I mean, if you really hate this car (Which I assume you don't since you keep saying "it runs like a dream"), then I really can't sway you, but they're good cars. Sure it has its faults, but they aren't serious mechanical faults which you wouldn't be able to fix.
Oh, and one more thing to add to my Volvo story. The guy taught me that the current engine/transmission of the S40 is based entirely on the 850 so it shows how solid the mechanical aspects of this car is.

If you want to sell it here is my advice. Buy cheap wheels and tires and sell it with them on it and sell the wheels and tires separately. Like I said I think the wheels and tires add $1,000 to the value, and you could get that for them selling them separately, but getting $7500-$8000 for the car with them on it may be tough.
But I totally agree with what RedTurbo850 said in the above post. KEEP THE CAR!!!
