16t upgrade ecu suggestions
Hey guys, Let me apologize in advance for starting yet ANOTHER ecu tuning suggestion topic, but i sincerely cannot find what I'm looking for.
I just got a 97 850 T5 with a bad head gasket. I also have a s70 T5 that has a few holes in the block lol. Being the S70 is going to be a longer project, I decided to use the turbo and injectors from the s70 on the 850.
I'm looking for a reputable ECU tune for a 16T and white injectors 850 T5. I think the IPD $800 ECU flash is absolutely ridiculous on price, but as of now it looks like my only choice as far as my internet trust goes. I've come here out of desperation after hours of research looking for a cheaper authentic alternative. Any help is greatly appreciated.
PS, I'm not so sure I hooked the vacuum lines up correctly on the turbo. If anyone can tell me where the Red, Blue, and Yellow lines go that would be extremely helpful. Thanks again guys!

Welcome to the forum, I hope you'll stay awhile.
For a good tuning company:
Here:Tuning or here: http://www.snabb.us/1994-1997-Volvo-Tuning_c_36.html
Same tuner, but more than one distributor from what I understand.
I've got the "green" tune @ 16lbs. Very good.
I just swapped a 16T from a 98 S70 T5 to my 850 T5, here's how the vacuum lines route:
Compressor Bypass Valve(CBV)-->Front of intake manifold
Wastegate-->Top of Boost Control Solenoid(BCS)
Turbo cold side nipple-->Bottom of BCS
Middle of BCS-->"Fresh" air intake tube
Let me know how it goes.

Okay, so the line from the CBV is the smaller vacuum line that runs under the manifold to the far left? I have that hose (the small one running under the manifold) connected to the nipple on the far left of the manifold, running to the PTC nipple. It seemed to fit their better lol.
Correct me if im wrong, I honestly have no idea. Because what I did was replace most of the vacuum lines with generic (but quality) vacuum lines, so the "shape" was lost and doesnt find its self.
What color is the "top" and "bottom"? On my car the middle is blue, and the other 2 colors are red and yellow. now sure which is considered top or bottom, but the red side hose is considerably longer than the yellow.
ALSO, When you say to fresh air, is that the nipple next to the MAF?
Thanks for all your help guys.

Yes, in the diagram I posted for you it's the blue line. It should be the middle line coming out of the BCS and going to the nipple near the MAF.
I'd be careful about color and just make sure the positions are correct. Once you put them in the right place you can see if your "colors" are correct.
