Hey guys, been in this forum for 3 days now, already fixed two of my problems on my C70 soft top, and helped a bunch of people with similar problems thanks to you!
I have a really strange problem with my 1993 2-litre Volvo 850 (no turbo). If I'm on full throttle (kickdown) and I reach about 5500 rpm, the car stops accelerating like there's not enough juice. If I release the pedal a bit, just before reaching 5500 rpm, so that I'm not on kickdown, everything's fine (the car continues accelerating, just not with full power). I should mention the car is driven on gas. Thought the problem came from there, but I'm not that sure. Really love that car, never had any terrifying issues. My 850 used to have no problems reaching her full potential and go through all the 7000 rpm, showing on the dashboard. I thank you in advance and wish you luck!

 

What's the maintenance history on the car? Any check engine code?
