1994 855T Cruise Control Vacum Pump Question
My cruise control packed it in and I have been checking the usual suspects.
This afternoon I checked the vacum lines, elbows, connections, etc. I checked the lines under the battery tray and all looked and felt good.
As I began the process of checking the vacum lines under the battery tray I noticed that only that only one vacum line/elbow was attached to vacum pump. There are two nipples on the pump one black and one white. The black one has a tiny orfice in the end was the one that the elbow/vacum line were attached to. The white one did not have anthing attached to the end of it.
Is this correct/normal?
While I was in there I decided to clean the pump and battery tray. I removed the pump from the tray and ran some jumper wires from the battery to the pump to see if the pump functioned. It did. It appears as though there is vacum generated at the black nipple. The white one generates a positive pressure.
Is this also correct?
Am taking a long trip in the car this week and it would be nice to have this buttoned up!
Thanks!

Yes, I did. I just replaced my a/c evaporator and made sure that everything was reconnected properly. But, I did check it again and it is properly connected. The cruise control quit long before I did the a/c proejct, though.
Mine has two hoses on it, one goes to the cruise diaphragm, and the other goes to a hose that ends near the radiator but isn't attached to anything, but is not blocked off.
My cruise works so I am leaving it that way.

Thanks - I reinstalled the pump this morning - nothing connected to the white nipple, pumping in to the atmosphere. System still does not work but will check the controller and brake switch next.
