Hello Everyone, I am a proud new owner of a 1995 850 turbo sedan, 97,000 miles. I've been reading a lot on this site and thanks for all the information.

My question is this,

My abs module(1995 turbo w/ tracs) seems to be out,

My ABS and TRACS warning lights go on and off intermittently,

I have found a 1994 module from an 850 turbo w/ tracs.

Will a 1994 ABS Module work in my 1995 ?

 

I would assume it would, but personally I would try to either find a replacement 95 unit, or else get yours rebuilt.

 

If you find a used one it is probably going to go out too. I would go ahead and pull the current one and send it off to be remanufactured. There are numerous people that do it. I used BBA Remanufacturing (found them on ebay).

 

The '93-'95 modules should beinterchangeable and the rebuilders won't touch them. Take a look at the module to make sure, the early style module has a metal case that is mounted vertically next to the ABS pump. The later style has a black plastic case that is mounted below the pump.

Before you replace the module pull the codes from Socket A-3. Many times just cleaning the wheel sensors will fix the problem on the earlier units.
