Hi there volvo fanatics,

I am considering buying one of the above. Can anyone tell me if the gear change between 1st and 2nd is typically hard to master ie. coordinating revs to achieve a smooth change. Any other advice with things to watch out for when purchasing such a vehicle would be helpful. It has 187,000km on the clock.

The gears are easy to get used to.

Look for the common things Good servicing. Check for oil leaks and bad engine mounts and stuff like that.

If all else fails take it to the dealer or a shop that specializes in Volvo's and have it inspected. They should only charge 1 hour to look it over.
