sorry if a FAQ but my 1996 850 has 65k (n/a 5 cyl) miles on it and it was running good, I just went and filled up with gas and 30 seconds later it started to idel funny and would not respond to the gas pedal then I saw some white smoke comming from the exhaust pipe so I shut if off. I towed it home and checked the coolant looked fine and the oil looked fine. So i tried to turn it over and it locked up. I then drained the oil and noticed a strong gas smell (actually saw gas fumes comming from the oil). Any thoughts???

Two things i would check are if your fuel pressure regulator has a vaccum line going to it remove it and see if any gas comes out.There is a valve mounted on your cooling fan remove the hose and see if there is gas there.The hose for the valve comes from the intake goes into the valve then goes to the bottom of the car.
