Smile 850 Aftermarket Stereo

I am trying to install a new stereo header in my 1993 Volvo 850 but I am having trouble finding out if it will fit. I am trying to get this header
http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PU...ms/AVIC-U310BT. I have been searching the internet for hours trying to find another volvo with this header but I can't. Does anyone know if there are just as nice headers that fit the 93 850, or could I possibly buy and adapter so this fits? It would be great to see what other people have done with their headers so I can model after that. Any help would be great

Double DIN units fit in 850s but with a little modification to the "guide tracks" inside the opening, they're not a direct swap.

Yes, it takes up both DINs, most head units are single din, using only half of the opening, that one's double din.

buy the radio, nothing can stop you from installing it. the guide tracks are only something that will slow you down, shouldent be a big problem

Right, you don't buy something to fix them, you have to, IIRC, sand them down some because they stick out to far. Just get it and test fit it and go from there.
