How much hell did you guys go through to bypass the amp? The amp bypass harness has got me all confused as to what goes where. I figured the harness would plug into the amp and then just wire it to the cd player's harness but instead it plugs into the end of the harness that's supposed to go into the amp and on top of that, there are TWO of them. Help would be greatly appreciated. My car's a '96 850 R with that Premium Sound System in it btw.

You would unplug the plug from the amp and plug it into the back of the factory radio and thats it.Or on some there was a plug wrapped in foam. Unplug and that goes to the radio.

When I replaced the OEM deck in The Anvil I went with a Pioneer DEH-3900MP as I like the brand and I really miss the AVIC-N1 I had in my old Acura Vigor GS.

My Brick doesnt have a factory amp but that is not to say that it isnt in the cards. Just not yet[]

I went with the Pioneer as I wanted to use a laptop for entertainment and navigation. Im still working on an idea for a web cam for a backup camera and one for the front, just because .

Anyway, the wire harness that I got for the Pioneer was easy to connect and with the dash kit it took about forty minutes from start to finish.

The old deck was, just that, a tape deck. Which wasnt working.

Oh my god that was rediculously easy. Wow, i didn't even need that bypass harness i bought. I'm definitely taking that back to Radio Shack and getting the factory harness like i needed (and had) in the first place. Thanks a lot Tech.
