Default 850 Heater Core

Been looking online for instructions to replace the heater core and cannot find anything meaningful. Core is leaking coolant onto carpet in driver and passenger foot area. What is the best source (manuals) for these types of repairs and what ancillary parts may be needed/suggested for this. I have a good local source for parts.
97 850 wagon non-turbo 5sp.

Thanks.

Check out the evaporator replacement instructions posted by tech in this forum, those instructions should be a good start to what you have to do, it's in tghe same spot

I am making plans to replace my AC Evaporator and Heater Core at the same time.

You will need...
1) New Heater Hoses
2) New Plastic Coupler
3) O-Rings between Heater Hoses and Plastic Coupler
4) New Heater Core
5) O-Rings between Plastic Coupler and Heater Hard-pipes
6) O-Rings between Heater Hard-pipes and Heater Core

See FCP Groton and eEuropeanparts for diagrams

The heater core can be done without removing the dash.

It really isn't all that bad.
I will have to try to make a write up as soon as time allows.
Someone had a link on here at one time but can't find it now.

I have looked at info on removing the heater core in the 850.
Most is simple but..
I'm down to removing the last screw / bolt that is in between the Hose pipes..

At least from the schematic I have, there is a screw in the little hole on the engine side where the pipes enter the Case.

Can anyone help with How to get the screw out from between the pipes &
possibly what type/size of tool is required.

THX for any help you might provide.

I did this repair on my car, it was simple. I didn't undo any thing in the glove box. Just pulled back the carpets and removed the kick panels. I recommend doing this with a cold engine and lots of towels on the floor to sop up the lost coolant.
