'96 850 Turbo - Heater Core Hose to Engine
Hey all, on Monday, I noticed I was loosing a lot of coolant, filled the res, and drove the rest of the day, on Tuesday, while driving the coolant light came on, and the RPM gauge stopped working, checked the level again, and it was once again low... Was able to find the leak. It ended up being the heater hose running from the heater core to the engine...
So, I went down to my local "Action Auto Parts", and was able to get a new core to engine hose ($40), and the pack of replacement "O" Rings ($26)... Get home get the hose routed to the engine (pain in the a**) and was able to get the copper fitting into the hole...
But to my surprise, when I filled her back up, I was still leaking! This time from the other end of the hose! I am now leaking out of the hole where the copper pipe goes into the core. I have been stumped on this now for the last two days - installed virtually every combination of o-rings I can think of, now have taken this thing on and off 6 times... I don't understand why there would be fluid coming out of the hole. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you all in advance.

So, at first it was leaking at the block? Replaced it, now it's leaking at the plastic firewall coupler?
If it's leaking at the firewall, and you put all of the plastic o-rings and rubber o-rings in properly, the plastic firewall pass through may be cracked, which happens on older cars when you disturb those lines.
