I am looking to replace my worn out driver's seat with a fresher 850 or S70 seat. My seat is manual - can I replace it with a power seat, and just attach the bar for forward/backward settings? Would I lose the incline adjustment? Will S70 seats fit?

I just had an 850 seat in a v70 and it fit with the exception of the seat belt attachment that can be made to work either direction but not perfectly (But good enough). V70 I'm almost sure is the same as the s70.

I'm making new skins for both models so if you want to spend the money you can have new seats. You can see them on this thread.

I'm putting brand new 850 and V70 skins on ebay tomorrow.

 

Thanks for that. Your skins look excellent. The foam is dead too (13 years and close to 500K km), so I'm looking to replace that as well.

 

Can a power seat be made into a manual seat? If the forward/backward pull bar can be installed, then the only other problem might be the incline adjustment. Anyone had experience with this?
