850 turbo over boost!
Hello,
New to the forum so any help will be much appreciated. I have a 1995 850 turbo. I recently had to replace the cam sensor and noticed that my top-side intercooler hose was blown out. I had not seen any boost problems but did think the car was a little sluggish. I have now replaced the hose and now the car has got a lot of power but now the boost gage is going off the charts. As soon as I noticed it I have been careful to keep it in a safe range while driving, but I would like to know why it is over boosting. I read a couple of forums and have checked for broken or unplugged vacuum lines and I actually did find two that were off, but even after putting them back in place, I still have the over boost problem.... although it is not as severe now. I guess it is possible that I still have a bad vacuum line somewhere, but I do not have a diagram to go by. I am getting good "blow off" as I can hear it after acceleration. Are there any specific symptoms for either the actuator hose or the boost solenoid?
I know I just threw a lot our there, but I am just trying to narrow this problem down. Thanks in advance for any advice.
