Default 850 wont start

My 96 850 will not start, it will not turn over. My battery is good, did a tune up recently. So thinking it may be starter, fuel pump or fuel pump relay. How do I check?

Since it does not crank over, try checking the wiring going to the starter. I don't know how hard it is to get to the wiring on the starter, but it should have power to the big terminal at all times. When you turn the ignition to start, it should have power to the smaller terminal. If both are correct, the starter is most likely at fault.

Default Could be PNP to be cleaned or replaced

My car also failed to start and it turned out that it was PNP. https://volvoforums.com/forum/showth...t=29432&page=2

there is also a relay under the fuse box for starter. check that and also make sure that the alarm/antitheft is inactive. (no LED blinking on top of the dash). try hotwiring the big terminal on the starter to the small terminal wher the smaller wire clips to and see if it spins. That will atleast isolate the problem.
