Hey guys, just purchased a '96 850R wagon and went to install my Alpine deck tonight. Got a wiring harness adaptor, wired up all the wires to the deck harness and plugged in the two connectors to the two coming from the car. Radio powered on fine, antenna worked but I no sounds from any of the speakers. Factory radio worked fine got sound from all speakers. I did notice the smaller of the two connectors on the car side only had one yellow wire with a stripe connected to it, and the connector from the harness adaptor has four speaker wires going into it, none of which contact the yellow striped wire when the plugs are joined. Did I get the wrong harness adaptor? Help!

Once I had that in, everything worked fine. I know next to nothing about car audio and it was easy plug n' play for me. It has pretty good instructions with it. Good luck.

 

Yeah it depends on whether or not the car has the factory amp. If it doesn't it should work, if it has the amp, you'll need the above cord as well.
