I got a 1997 850. The other day i was driving down the road and it started idling high then when i stopped i would have to press on the brakes harder then normal. And i would have to barely press on the pedal or it would want to bogg out. Anyone have any ideas???

 

Sounds like possibly the MAF sensor to me. First, check to see that it's plugged in. With the car running, unplug it and see if anything changes. if it doesnt, it's a bad MAF sensor.
