I bought a 97 850R last year for $800(true story). I gave the car a good tune up: plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter, oil change, k&n air filter ...... The car runs very strong, but when I get on it hesitates and makes a dot dot dot dot feeling. The car is still quick but took buy a Nissan 3.5 SE, and in my 97 T5 Wagon I can always squeak them out by a bumper. Tech I know you will know what the car is lacking, ut if any one else has help please dont be a stranger. Thank you

 

is the car jerking when its ( dot dot dot ) ? it could be due to a bad motor mount or tranny mount if its jerking on a hard pedal.

 

No I would not say it is jerking. I thought for awhile it maybe maybe maybe you be axles(CV shafts), and they were clicking anyways so I replaced them as well. I was leaning towards fuel injectors, but I was not sure.

 

you did not mention replacing the distributor and rotor. You may want to try that first if you havent already replaced them.

 

I just edited my post. I did do the cap and rotor but forgot to put that in.

 

Do you have a real boost guage connected?
If not connect one and see how much boost it is putting out. You may be hitting fuel cutoff from to much boost.
