Hey all,
So I recently bought my first 1993 850 (GLT Touring package) (I've had a 240 and a 760 before), for the most part it's a great car, although I noticed a few little weird things that I'm wondering if anyone has had problems with before...

Every once in a while when I start the car, the lights will not turn on (neither do any of the other accessories) and the ABS/SRS lights stay on. I turn the engine off, turn it back on, and everything is fine.

Also, the Service light and Low Oil light will randomly come on, though I've checked the oil level and it's full. The service light will come on when I first start the car, and stay on for about five-ten minutes and then go out. I've heard the service light doing this is fairly common, but the low oil light throws me off a bit.

Any help anyone could offer would be great!

 

The ABS/SRS light issue is usually a bad electrical part if the ignition switch.

The service light is an oil change reminder light.
The low oil light the sensors commonly go bad.

so tech your saying that the ABS light normally stays on...mine does and I am not sure is the ABS blown or not

 

If the ignition switch is bad the headlights will also not come on usually.
