Advice...about heated seats
Need one of the experts...Tech JPN or someone else who knows their poop...
Here is my problem.
I have a 94 that is a florida car that did not come with heated seats. I have a 93 that I am scrapping out that has heated seats in it. Ok so I pulled the seats, in spite of the poor condition of the leather, OK now what...what part of the harness's is/are necessary to make the heated seats work? I'd like to put them in my beloved 94...or is this a pretty big deal? Although everything else with this car has been pretty straightforward...

RE: Advice...about heated seats
OK I know the later cars are prewired for the heated seats. My wifes 96 was and I installed heated seats in it but haven't ever tested them because the Temp needs to be below a certain spec.
Up next to the shifter there should be 2 blank panels there pop the panels out and see if the harness is there.
If so then you should be all wired for it. Plug the switches in and the seat connections might be the same but not 100% sure.
Also not 100% sure but you might need to add a relay as well I will have to try to see on a wiring diagram tomorrow.
I installed the seats in the wifes car a year ago already and forget if I had to add a relay or not. I know when I plugged the switches in they lit right away without plugging anything else in.

Thanks tech...I mean at most they canbe 12 volts...I could just run the switch to 12v and be set... But rather go through the right harness, and pulling that harness form the body was gonna be a bear I got started and decided to post it...stripping the junk 93 should have motor running tomorrow...or Monday

RE: Advice...about heated seats
+1 - I do not have heated seats in my 1995 855t. It is a southern car as well.
I have seen a write up for making the rear seats on a sedan heated, I thought about that would be nice in my wagon. I do not have the cut outs in my woodgrain trim, but I do have the cut outs in the rear. I guess I will have to remove the shifter plastic to see if there are plugs there.
Keep us post on your progress.

RE: Advice...about heated seats
I didn't get the motor running yesterday, ran into a few sanfus but I'll get it. Maybe today I have the top end in place, just the plastic hose to the CC fell off while I was installing the intake manifold, I may have to remove the manifold to install it. But, ok, anyway to update this a little, As I removed the console from my parts car I noticed there is a large harness(in the console)which may be the 'clue'. but I will have to confirm it. Also I will add this will probably be in a couple weeks to a month before I get around to doing it...
