Default Any recommendations on suspension?

I'm currently looking into Koni FSD's with Eibach lowering springs for my volvo 850 turbo. Is installation simple? and is there anything else that i should buy to keep the car from messing up? should i do sway bars at the same time?
Thank you for all your help

IPD swaybars would be great with that setup....How much did you want to spend?

Suspension work can be dangerous if never been done before.
You need spring compressors and some other tools, but you just remove everything and install in revesre order.

Wait for others to comment.

Springs and shocks/struts are a good start. I would also do the IPD swaybars, which will help out a lot.

Side options....poly suspension bushings, chassie bracing, etc.

If your feeling generous, you can splurge on a nice set of coilovers $1450+. Coilovers will offer the best handling/ adjustability/ comfort for the user.

can you please give me a link to some good cool overs? right now i was just thinking of using the stock springs with the Koni FSD suspension and using wheel spacers to make the ride lower. Or getting the Pro kit with the Eibach lowering springs and the the whole Koni FSD suspension system. any ideas? i am not aware of what coilovers are. if you could explain the difference between the setup i want to get and coilovers that would be great. thanks again fo your help

Spacers dont lower the car....they push the wheel Track out, which increases handling.

The coilovers: well it basicly is a "coil" spring "over" the strut....hence the name "coilover"
The front consist of a threaded strut, with a lower and upper spring seat, which allows you to use the standered ~2.5" coil springs. they give you the freedom to set the ride hight you want, anywhere from ~1.5" to a 3.0" drop. Some also come with camber/caster plates, which let you run what ever you feel like you need. They also give you a littler more room so you can run wided tires......etc. The rears have a threaded perche so you can adjust the rear height up or down.....etc.
You can find them Here or Here.
The standered lowering spring and strut/shock upgrades...is just that. You get lowering springs and upgraded shocks/struts. It is a fixed ride height, so you wouldn't have to worry about adjusting it.
Now Coilovers are expensive, ~$1450-$2050....and if you are stock right now, just going to the KONI FSD/ Eibach springs with IPD swaybars, would be a great street setup for the money. But if you have the money, I would just get the Coilovers, and IPD swaybars.

Will my ride improve from stock suspension if I change to Koni's? Right now when I hit a bump in the city, it sounds and feels awful. Do you know if it will be smoother on uneven road than the stock suspension?

Before making any final decisions I would check out the conversion kits from strutmasters.com this converts you from air to powder coated, American made steel coil springs that are guaranteed to last the life of the car. The kit also comes with detailed instructions including how to disarm the ride light, so if you know something about how to work on cars this should be easy for you. If not any mechanic should be able to install for you. I posted the link below so you can take a look.

Good Luck!!!
