Default Automatic door locks broken.

So, I have a 850 GLT -95, a couple of weeks ago the automatic door lock always locked as soon as I put the gear into D. A couple of days later it was delayed, it didnt lock my doors until 3-4 minutes into me already driving the car. A week or two later it didnt lock at all, and when I lock my car the only door that locks is the one with the key in it. ALSO: the lamps for the when the doors open, closes and when the car gets locked arent working automatically, I have to do everything manually, which isnt a pain in the butt, but I'd like to fix it if possible. Any ideas?!

None that I can think of. None of my Volvo's lock the doors when I shift into drive. Must be some kind of control box that manages all those things, it's probably toast.

Car must have an aftermarket alarm system and something is wrong with it.

Hey, come to think of it, the auto locks in my 960 have been acting a little strange lately.

Usually I unlock the door with the remote they will stay unlocked for about 30 seconds, if I do not open a door they lock back. Lately they lock back if I open the door or not. I can have the door open and then bang, the car locks.

I'm going to change the door plug that turns the lights on to see if that fixes it.

Make sure the fuse for it didnot blow. It should be under the dash on the drivers side.

very long shot, but could it be as simple as a grounding or power wire that runs from the shifter or something has a fault? might be simpler than the full brain
