My S70 is doing something really odd. No longer does my control automatically unlock the drive rear door. You hear the click with no result. However, if the door is unlocked and you use the control it will lock it. Therefore, the problem SEEMS fixable. Anyone know how to?

 

I had a similar issue with my passenger window.

Itwould go down but it wouldn't go up with the switch on passenger side.

I replaced the switch

 

i have the problem with the door, and i have the problem with the window. can you replace the switch yourself? if so is there any online direction?

 

I don't know if you fixed it yet, but I had a similar problem, you need to replace the "door lock assy". Inside the door lock assy, there is a plastic piece that serves a dual function, one that engages the lockknob to go up and unlock the door, won't unlock when the tab is broken.That same plastic piece, on a seperate problem and different tab,also activates the ability to open your door from the outside, even if your door is locked. I know because my Rear Passenger door wouldn't unlock and my front passenger door would open from the outsideeven when the door was locked. I took both of them semi-apart thinking that I can swap parts to get one door working. NOPE!!! I needed to order the complete Door Lock Assy. for both doors. Each one is different, the rear door has the child safety lock.
