Default Birthday candle smell, followed by a little smoke...

My wife and I were out driving the 850 today and after driving for about 20 minutes, we noticed what smelled like birthday candles just after being blown out, coming thru the air vents. About a mile later we came to a stop and a little smoke rose out the front right of the hood. We drove to a nearby friends house and popped open the hood to find nothing out of the ordinary. After stopping for a while, we got back in and drove another 20 minutes. Nothing. Stopped for a little while and continued finishing our errands. Next being swinging thru the drive thru for dinner. Coming back home, there was the smell again, but this time a little smoke came out from the right front. I again popped the hood and took a look, still, can't find anything out of the ordinary. There are a few oil leaks that need to be addressed but they've been there over the winter. Only thing different was an oil change done Friday.

Any suggestions as to what the culprit could be? A bit stumped on this one and the wife is a little hesitant to hope in with kids in tow.

850 does have a turbo.

Default check coolant?

If you don't see anything obvious, keep an eye on your coolant level. I'd be more inclined to think you are smelling some coolant rather than oil - check around your overflow cap and sides of the radiator as well as the hoses going to the firewall. When heater cores start to leak you will get a slightly sweet smell in the cabin. Also check the dipstick for any foam...

I am low on coolant, but it doesn't show any signs of a leaky headgasket. When I changed the oil out, it was normal.

Started the car up today and let it idle to temp with the hood up. Noticed a little burnoff from the rear of the motor and front. Thinking the pcv system is overdue for a replacement and its pushing oil out and burning it off. Pulled the dipstick out a little and had smoke coming out of it as well. Will need to find the time/money to order a kit and repair it.

I know fcpeuro sells a kit, is that the go to kit for this or is there another kit that is popular?
