Black Beauty (MY VOLVO) not the horse.
Just finished dyeing the trim strips and bumpers black on the 850 we bought for our son. Here's some during and after pics.
Rear door and rear bumper one coat. None on front door.
Rear door one coat, front door none.
Front bumper 2 coats.
The finished product.
I think blacking out the strips and bumpers gives the car an entirely different look.

Very nice indeed. Looks as if it just rolled out of the assembly line.
>The white car still looks great makes my Yellow one look like CRAP!!
Tech, at least you have 2 sizzling machines. I don't even have a tricycle.

^Well, on VolvoSpeed, it is very very highly recommended by a bunch of members. And even if it doesn't last, its not that hard to apply (or if you choose to, buy one of the more expensive products that do the same thing).
I've been in 2-3 really bad rainstorms and haven't seen any fading but I guess the famous Minnesota winter will be the true test...
Edit: This was my thread on VolvoSpeed as somewhat of a How to.

One guy has his going for 2 years.

Rained (for the first time in weeks) a few hours after application. Went out in the rain, ran my fingers over it and no black came off. Looks like it passed the first test. I'll let everyone know how it goes. RedTurbo, you are right. It was very easy to apply.

I took some time and spent a few dollars and bought this stuff which worked Awesome.
Its been about 4 months or so I forget exactly.
This is a pic not a really good one but still looks good.
I will try to get a better pic compairing to mine so you can see.
I am going use it in my car next.
Used almost one can of the coating. Less of the adhesion

All the door moldings just slide once the screw is out.
The only ones that are a Pita are the fender moldings.
On the door moldings remove the screw in the rear of the molding going through the door into the molding and slide the molding forward I believe it is and it will come right off.
Becareful not to drop the screw in the door.

Just washed the car this weekend. The dye on the trim did not fade or come off at all. I did inadvertantly find out what will take it off. As I was filling the gas tank recently a couple of drops hit the trim. The dye came off. I just dabbed it with a paper towel to clean it up and touched up with the dye and you couldn't tell.
