This is my first post,

I just recently replaced my blower motor fan with a used one, 5 minutes of it running the scroll fan exploded. I was wondering if its possible and if so how to remove the fan from the motor shaft and replace it with my old one (the one with the seized motor) also any idea's of why it would have exploded?

You can change out the squirrel cage fan to your replacement motor. I remember seeing a fairly detailed writeup on it either here or on VS or Matthew's but I can't find it to give you a link.

Tried looking for the post at both volvo forums and matt's couldn't find it.

I spoke with my mechanic today, He say's he's got a press setup for taking off the cage and pressing it back on balanced.
