Default Blower motor issue, again!

Searched to make sure not a repost but sorry if so!

Okay guys so here's what happens despite being in a an El nino, it is still suuper cold here in this part of Canada, around -17F without the windchill, so my new but now squeaky blower motor decided to call it quits today so it seems. When i switched my ECC unit to full blast it or (on) i hear a click like a relay or something, but no power it was too cold to test any power snd i was in a rush, i ripped my dash apart, swapped the resistor but i'm not sure if this resisitor was good, it might have been blown or whatever, and still the same "click" but no power, car is going in for new turbo, intercooler etc but i dont wanna have to pay for this, as i replaced it last winter? any idea to the click? resistor? is there a relay? i need to fix it sooon sick of this,

I should have saved and bought a newer volvo as i'm just dishing the cash out for this thing, love it, but seriously new blower again this year or well something blower related, i need to not freeze, thank you :P

thanks in advance,

Kelsey

Are the REC and AC lights blinking? You can check to see if there are any codes in the ECC by reading the codes from the section B. If there are no codes, you are going to need to see if the blower motor is getting any power.

Yes they are flashing weren;t at first, but are now, is that check through OBD? because i would have but my code reader is at work, but alright, yeah will check for power today, ugh, if the sqeaky motor kept rubbing and got stuck and it kept being powered to spoin, would it blow a fuse or anything??

Thanks

Sounds like your blower motor is shot. You need to test it to see if its getting power. Usually, if its the resistor the fan won't work unless you put it on the highest setting, and that doesn't seem to be the case, based on your diagnostic. Good news is that you can buy just the blower motor without having to buy the cage assembly. Think its like $70 online.
