Default Blower Motor Problems.

Hey guys. I have a 97 850 T5. Yesterday morning I was driving and turned the fan off to answer the phone. Then it would not come back on. It blew very very lightly later that night. This morning the fan started right up and blew great, and I was able to slow it down and everything with no problems. But when I shut it off to go in the store, It stopped working again. I have taken the car all apart, the fan itself actually works great. I replaced the blower motor resistor with a used piece, but functioning last time I used it. Still not working. Even threw a different fan in just to make sure. When I turn the key on, about every other time the fan will spin for about 1 second, and turn off. It's not the resistor, and it's not the fan. I don't know what else to try or look at. Could the speed switch be bad? I'm stumped.

This is an ECC unit.

A ghost. After swapping all that stuff out. I plugged the stock resistor back in and it worked fine..... Plugged the newer one in, same problem the stock one had before removal. Put the stock one in again and haven't had a problem since. I'm very confused. BUT, I have heat again. Which is critical in WI.

And you use Fleetfarm rubber hose on your turbo, hurts me to call you neighbor. Get some colored silicone in there!
