Default Blowing oil from the fill cap on my 94 850

I have seen discussion and suggested repairs to the PCV when oil is leaking heavy from the oil fill cap. Has anyone had success with the replacement of the system in stopping the leak?

Haven't done it myself but if you search the site I think you'll find that in many instances it has corrected the problem.

And should you decide to service it, here are two vendors many of us have been using:

http://www.fcpgroton.com/volvo.htm#850
http://www.eeuroparts.com/home.aspx

Note, that Turbo and Non-turbo use different kits. Also, the illustrations may be backward, as someone has noted in the past. Check your model year & VIN too just in case.

You also need intake manifold gasket upon PCV servicing, as you need to disconnect the manifold. I would also order filler cap gasket + dipstick O-ring.

I hope this helps.

First of all, the cap seals need to be replaced every 30k at least. They will get hard and leak oil all over the top of the head and down the sides of the engine if left alone. You should be able to bend the seal without it cracking.
