Default Boost PSI

Got a boost gauge installed over the weekend. So the question is...
What levels of boost should I be seeing?

What do you own? You might want to tell us what you own and if you have any other mods installed that would raise boost.

On a perfectly running motor, how is maximum boost obtained? WOT and a certain RPM range?

Usually max boost when dealing with RPM will be what ever it's built for. That sounds very vague but it you go to edmunds and see what the rpm range is for HP that should give you a close idea I believe.

Forced induction except for NOS always runs off the engine in the fact that the faster the crank is being turned the faster your turbine is spinning and shoveling air into your engine. Your car will only be able to take so much psi, once you get higher then that doesn't the blow off valve release some of that excess preasure? Anyways your max boost should be where ever your engine produces its max power in the RPM power band.

Sorry if I'm wrong, all I know on forced induction is what I've read.
