Default BREAKTHROUGH!

Finally, a good report! For the details, check my previous posts, but for a quick sum up read on. I had continual "limp home" mode. Blinking arrow, difficulty in getting the code from the OBDI due to completely irratic flashing resembling no 3 digit code, sometimes dying while driving -- and subsequently no 'warning' lights or startup, despite power to the starter, etc, etc. Tried the PNP, tried Trans Solenoids, tried a used Trans Control Module, over a 4 month period of frustration. Finally, gave up trying myself ( with the able help of my Brother ) and took it to a reputable import shop specializing in European cars. After mentioning the attempts we made, I turned over the key and went to work. By 4:00 they called with the solution: ignition switch! It was shorting out the whole system from the top down. Resulting in all the mentioned problems, as well as a check engine light! After picking it up, it runs and drives perfectly. I remember that Tech mentioned a possible ignition switch for the 'dying' and not restarting symptom, but after all the other attempts, I was done. Glad they nailed it, and Tech, you were on to something, there! So, to all -- keep this in mind if you ever have similar circumstances! BTW, the switch itself cost $66.00!
