A/C Compressor click...(video inside)

Hey guys, Merry Christmas! Just remembered my A/C Compressor clicks off/on sporadically. Have not recharged it yet but I just took a vid of it.

Would a recharge suffice or does the compressor need shimming?

I bet the system is just low on freon. The compression keeps kicking on and off because there is not enough pressure in the system. Put the AC on full blast and fill the system and see if the compressor stays engaged.

Best of luck. I mention this a lot because I've seen it be an issue: Sometimes the compressor will cycle because there is too much freon in the system as well. This is why you should ALWAYS use a pressure gauge when filling your A/C system.

Just got around to putting in an $18 can of refrigerant and the clicks went away immediately and ac blows cold. Don't you love it when a plan comes together?
