A/C Issues
I read through the other posts about A/C problems and had concluded from them that I had an issue with either the blower motor or its resistor. This morning the car started up and so did fans, the compressor didn't start, though.
My car is a 1996 Volvo 850 Turbo wagon and the guy I bought it from said the A/C needed to be recharged. I put it off for a while and during that period the fans would blow both in the morning and in the afternoon, but slowly the fans started blowing only when it was fairly cool outside. They would work in the morning, but not later in the afternoon when the heat in the valley became oppressive. I tried recharging the A/C to see if it was just some issue related to the compressor not turning on, but it didn't solve anything and eventually the fans stopped working altogether.
This morning the fans worked and then, after a stop at the gas station, refused to work again. While they were working, the compressor would click on.
It's a total mystery to me and I'm hoping that someone might have an idea of what it is.
