Default Can I make it to Atlanta and back (pcv sytem question)

Hey all!

I have a fairly simple question. I Live in Orlando, and I have to make it up to Atlanta this weekend for a business trip. Here is my issue.

I have had most systems on my 1995 Volvo 850 turbo(130,000 miles) tuned up since I last posted. I have

-Replaced the timing belt and water pump. (thanks to tech, and the awesome guys at a local shop)
-Replaced all plugs, cap, rotor, and wires.
-had oil/fuel/coolant system flushed, and switched to Mobil 1 synthetic.
-Replaced every vac line I could without removing the intake manifold.
-Cleaned the EGR, Throttle body, and PTC valve
-Cleared all codes, and have no check engine light illuminated after a week of driving normally

So, the one issue I have left.. My PCV system

I am getting far less white smoke in the dipstick, and have a lower engine temp than before I had done the tune up.
I am still convinced it needs to be replaced. I have the parts, I simply do not have the time before I have to leave to do it.
So, what should I do?

Is driving it out of the question?
Should I just keep a very close eye on the temp, and be ready to cool off at a rest stop every few miles?
Is there any other steps I can take to give me better odds?

Once I get back I have a 2 or 3 days off, and plan to do any thing left to do ASAP.

Thanks!
-Jeff

How many miles is the trip? As long as nothing is leaking, you should be ok but it would be better to replace the PCV before you go.

You should be fine. Check the oil level before you leave and check it when you get there.

Also, don't speed a lot. The faster you drive, the more oil the car will "eat up".

Also Georgia cops will pull you over and call the drug dog in and check the car.
The dog will jump on the car and scratch it and then they will leave. Then you will have to deal with the scratches!
