Check Out This Picture
You will recognize the car on the right as my White 97 850 R and the one on the left is a Yellow 95 850 T5R. They are both mine!!! I just found the T5R yesterday and bought in in Indianapolis today. It needs a little work, but not much. Mostly brakes and good wax job. Interior is absolutely perfect.

RE: Check Out This Picture
My white one is filthy! We have had quite a bit of snow and it's been way too cold to wash it. Supposed to be nice this coming weekend though. Maybe get all four cars washed. Need to get the Nissan Frontier cleaned up to sell. Only room for three in the garage and the truck never gets driven.
T5R has 137K on it, and I got a good deal. Somebody traded it on a brand new Honda Accord and the dealer didn't really know what he had. I found it on Autotrader and was the first one to call about it. By the time I got there they had two back up offers. Luckily my $100 over the phone credit card deposit held it for me. It's one of only 185 Yellow T5R's imported to the US. I've been wanting one since I first saw one in 1995.

RE: Check Out This Picture
Oh my God! This car is absolutely awesome. It cleaned up great and it seems faster than any other one I have ever driven and the engine is way quieter than my others. On top of that it got 27.7 mpg coming back from Indianapolis.I can not believe I found this car. It's like the ad on Autotrader was just coming online when I searched and found it. The pictures would not even display until about an hour later. It may be the biggest steal I have ever made when buying a car, and that's why I haven't told yu guys what I paid for it.
I tried to post some pictures, but it didn't work. I'll try again when I have a better connection.

RE: Check Out This Picture
That's awesome! Great find! I kinda jealous!
Sound like you found that car the same way I found my '96 850R....I had been searching Autotrader for sometime, one day I checked early in the AM, and the car wasn't on there. For some reason, I decided to look again a couple of hours later, and there it was, but the pics weren't showing yet. Once the pics showed, I called about the car. I wired the money later that day. It look a week for me to be able to fly down to GA from VA to pick it up. After I got there to pick it up, the sales manager told me the had an overwhelming amoutn of calls on the car, and a few guys offered over $12,000 for it! (my car only has 63,000 miles on it). I could sell this car for a $5k profit right now if I wanted to. But I don't and won't!
I haven't driven the car in two weeks, though. My temporary tags expired, and I just CANNOT find the time to get to the DMV. I miss drivingthat car....

RE: Check Out This Picture
All three Volvo's are sitting home today and I'm driving my Nissan Frontier. I got two guys interested in buying it today and I just put it on AutoTrader Saturday. I'm driving it to show to these guys. I would imagine it will sell to the first guy. I think I priced it too low, but what the heck.

RE: Check Out This Picture
Jim, you need to take that T5R to a Volvo mechanic for post-purchase inspection, preferably by a technician by the name of "Tech" in Florida. Those cars are noted for some problems, especially that SOB ABS module.
Also, make sure to install genuine Volvo CD changer, new floor mats, bug screen, everything you can load onto the car.
Now I'm Volvoless in the Far East, what a shame[8D].
