Cleaning fuel injectors
So once again my mind has changed and I will probably keep the car. Which means, I will buy the boost controller and crank the turbo to 13 PSI.
To make sure I'm getting fuel I was thinking about giving my fuel injectors a good cleaning. Anyone know a good way of doing so? Also, If I do run lean, isn't there a "check engine" feature that will notify me before major engine damage? ~Thanks guys |
Not sure about the 850s if they warn you about lean.......
YOu can get a fuel cleaner and try that......Sea foam should be able to do the same thing Me and my dad sent our injectors to Marren Fuel injection to be rebuilt and what not.... Wait for others to responed |
Would the boost from 8 PSI to 13 or 14PSI cause excessively more wear and tear on the head gasket? Car is old and I'm worried about a blown head gasket.

I will not lie to you....I am not 100% sure.
It might It might not. Me and my dad fixed my Blown Head Gasket ~40,000 miles ago and I have been running 20,000miles on 12psi.... Car now has ~258,000miles and is strong....Just make sure you use 91+ octane and have go maintenance, which sounds like you have already done. |

We fixed the 745...The 4 cylinder motors are pretty easy, just takes some time.
Not sure the difference between working on the 5 cylinder to the 4 cylinder.... Tech could probably tell what kind of job it is. I don't know any writeups.... |
