i am buying 96 850 turbo in the next couple days. None of the climate control stuff works and neither does the radio. Any idea what would cause this. I have'nt got the car yet so didnt get a chance to investigate. Is there a relay that both are connect to?

 

Maybe a fuse. Maybe something else.

thanks i'll take a look. I am hopefully getting the car today so will have a chance to look a little closer.

 

all fuses good. any other ideas? can the two problems be related or is it just coincedence. I am hoping i dont have to pull the dash. It doesnt look like fun.

 

check the wiring diagram and see if any fuses or relays are related that aren't labeled.

 

i am doing my best to understand the wiring diagram. when i tested the harness that goes to back of radio it is getting power. Is it possible that someone tried entering the wrong anti-theft code into it too many times causing it to shut down? the red light blinks on it but nothing else. climate control still got me stumped though.

 

If the code was entered to make times the Display would say OFF

Does anything in the climate system work?

 

i finally figured it out. It was the overload relay. thanks for your help tech.
