Default Clutch Noise :(

Hey everyone, so this is my first manual car and I have a few questions about the clutch. First of all, lets say i turn into a driveway and want to back up to turn the car around, when i put the car back in first and engage the clutch, i hear a loud squeaking noise from the front of the car...this only happens if im going from reverse to first and only when i'm actually turning the steering wheel...any ideas?

Second question is, is it normal that the clutch engages really high in the pedal? It only engages when its about 1-2 inches from the top. Also it gets higher when the engine/tranny is nice n warm. I drove my friends Honda and the clutch engages about halfway through the pedal. Is there a way to adjust the pedal? Is my clutch almost finished?

Thank you very much

Sounds like your clutch is on it's way out. It should be engaging about halfway up like your friends honda. Do you know how many miles are on the clutch?

I have no idea, i just got the car recently...the car has 205000 km on it. I know the clutch master cylinder was redone, but not the clutch itself. It might have been done by the previous owner, im not sure.

Just out of curiosity...if im going to be redoing the clutch this summer, should I be getting the FCP clutch kit? or should i get a better clutch (aka Stage 2 or something, I have no idea what the difference is)? The car will remain relatively stock...I might consider doing the ECU one day, but not any time soon.
