Default Clutch is really soft

I just got my clutch replaced and I used the clutch kit offered on FCP's site. However, now after my clutch has been replaced, it's EXTREMELY soft, there's not really any free play when you step on the pedal and when it starts to disengage, and the clutch seems to re-engage at around 1/2-3/4 of the way up when you release the clutch.

This engage and release points seem to be the same from before and after the clutch replacement job but the only difference is that the old clutch was very hard to press down, and now this clutch is really really soft, like you could depress it all the way with 1 finger. I'm not sure if this is normal or not, can someone please comment? Thanks!

I know 0 about this...but I know there's a spring on the clutch pedal...did you accidentally remove it or did it come off? Like I said, idk if this is relevant to your question...i tried tho

Can you really depress it with one finger or are you exaggerating?

If your old clutch pressure plate was on its last legs there's a good chance that a new clutch will feel much easier. If the new clutch doesn't slip it's probably fine.

i can literally depress it with one finger haha. But the clutch isn't slipping and it's working fine, it's just that the pedal is really soft
