Coolant Hose Replace
As my 850 t5 gets closer to being 25 years old, I worry about the rubber hoses that moves coolant within my car. Is there a complete list of hoses, or a set online available for purchase for a complete replace? When I look at IPD or Rockauto, it they only seem to offer up to two hoses per purchase. I found this surprising as I though a complete replace was common.
Try FCP Euro or EEuro Parts or Tasca parts to get a coolant system kit. There are the upper and lower radiator hoses, the hoses to/from the overflow tank which are normally in the kit plus all the correct clamps and you should do the ECT sensor, thermostat and the overflow cap as well. The only other hoses to consider are the hoses from the block to the heater core. The 850s always run coolant through the heater core (using the blend doors to turn the heat on and off) so but you'd need access to the heater core to get to the o-rings. At some point the heater core will likely start leaking slowly and that's a good time to do the core plus hoses and o-rings. Good news is the heater core replacement is easier on the 850 than most cars (pop off the center console sides and the core slides out to the passenger side...)
