coolant hose replacement

coolant hose replacement
I'm going to have the cooling system flushed in our recently purchased93 Volvo 850 sedan with 75,000 miles. It looks to have original hoses, etc.soI want to replace the thermostat, upper and lower radiator hoses, heater hoses, and radiator cap. How many other little by-pass hoses does this model have that should be replaced? Anything else?I want to do it right the first time and make sure I replace the things that can go bad. Thanks

RE: coolant hose replacement
Simply follow all the lines attached to the expansion reservoir. There are some small/short hoses at the rear of the engine block. The lower hose may be a bit difficult to reach so you may want to remove the air filter housing aside. '93 is a unique model and I am not too privy on that model. Make sure to replace the timing belt + pulleys + hydro tensioner if they haven't been done. The service interval for '93 is different; it should be done at every 50,000 miles or 5 years, whereas other models can wait up to 70,000 miles.
Incidentally, when I did my hoses I bought new stainless-steel clamps at a local ACE Hardware.
I would also go after regular tune-up items & brake components as well. See my 1st & 2nd replies at: https://volvoforums.com/m_48928/tm.htm
